Provably Fair
Every Bonkers Gaming slot runs on Stake Engine. Here's how it keeps results random, fair and verifiable.
What is Stake Engine?
Stake Engine is the platform that hosts and runs our games. We design the art, features and math model. Stake Engine runs the game server that generates and records every outcome. Our game front end only displays results it is given. It never decides them.
How a result is decided
- Math first. Each game ships with a fixed math model: the set of possible outcomes and how often each one occurs. This model sets the RTP (return to player) and volatility.
- Server-side randomness. When you place a bet, the server selects an outcome using a random number. The front end can't change it, skip it or influence it.
- Display only. The game then animates the result the server already determined. Animations and near-misses are presentation, not a hidden second roll.
- No adaptive odds. Past results never change your chances. Every spin is independent, and nothing is “due”.
What “provably fair” means
Provably fair systems let you check, yourself, that a result wasn't changed after you bet. The common approach uses a cryptographic commitment:
- The server commits to a secret server seed by showing you a hash of it before you play.
- You can set your own client seed, so the server can't pre-plan results against a value it doesn't control.
- A nonce (bet counter) makes each bet unique.
- When you rotate seeds, the old server seed is revealed. You can hash it to confirm it matches the commitment, and recompute your past results from the seeds and nonces.
If even one result had been altered after the fact, the hash wouldn't match. You can check this yourself, without taking anyone's word for it.
How to verify your own bets
- Open the fairness or provably fair settings on the platform where you play.
- Note your active hashed server seed, client seed and nonce.
- Rotate your seed pair to reveal the previous server seed.
- Use the platform's verifier, or any independent SHA-256 / HMAC-SHA256 tool, to check the hash and recompute your results.
RTP and volatility
RTP is the long-run percentage of all wagers a game returns to players. Bonkers Bandits is set at 96.50%. It is measured over millions of spins, not a single session, so you can win or lose far more than that in a short time. Volatility describes how uneven payouts are. Bonkers Bandits is high volatility: fewer wins, but bigger ones, up to a 50,000x max win.
Our commitment
We don't and can't alter results. Our published RTP, max win and volatility match the game math running on Stake Engine. Fair games are only half the story though. Please also read our Responsible Gaming page. Gambling can be addictive, and no game is a way to make money.
